Persistent Vaginal Bleeding After Antibiotics: What Could It Be?

Question
hi its me again. I told you previously that I was examined vaginally by my dr the beginning of august.. and since then i have been on amoxicillin twice and bactrim ds twice because
there was pink when I wiped (and bacteria in my urine, normal CBC and thyroid test)  I just finished bactrim ds this past thurs morning (7 days, 2 x a day) and was alarmed
today (fri) because I started "spotting" sometimes as if I was going to start my period (sometimes the blood is bright red, sometimes pink, or sometimes a tiny string reminding me of periods) BUT.. as of 4/25/06...I have no uterus, no tubes.. my friend who is a dr said the bleeding couldn't be coming from my ovaries since I don't have any fallopian tubes so it could be my cervix.. then again it could be my bladder but MY dr wants to see me monday to examine me so she knows for sure what to do (send me to either a urologist or gynecologist I guess)  I am scared because I worry about CANCER
I've been taking cranberry pills just incase its my bladder and only drinking water..and tonight I took 1 tsp of baking soda in water.
I have mild cramps too...  In other words, it feels like my period is approaching in a few days only guess what ! i had a partial hysterectomy!  have you heard of any case like
this and anything I can do until monday while I worry my head off?  my mom says "you had a transvaginal ultrasound before surgery and they did surgery on you so it shouldn't be cancer" but that was
6 months ago already...
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Answer
Sounds like you are bleeding from the vaginal surgical wound site if you do not have vaginal/cervical cancer, vaginal/cervical endometriosis or vaginal/cervical infection. I have my patients douche twice a day with dannon active mixed one bottle in a douche bottle of warm plain water to control all infections in one week. The exam will tell the answer but you can do this if OK with your doctors to get the vagina clear and clean.
