Intermittent Head Pain & Possible Hormone Connection: What Could It Be?

Question
I have been having pain behind my eyes and back of my head.  it comes and goes.  The pain will hit last about 1 minute, then I break out in a sweat and a little sick to my stomach.  Then it will go away only to come again in about an hour.  I am menopausal. I recently started taking adrenal supplements and progesterone.  My Chiropractor tested my hormone levels and said I was low and these two things.  I stopped taking the adrenal supplements because I thought maybe this may be causing the problem. But no change.  I thought maybe I had a sinuses infection, But I can't imagine it coming and going.  When I am not in pain.  I feel pretty good but when the pain hits I feel a little weak.  Could be because it scares me and then I feel weak. I don't know.  I'm very stressed.  could you help me?   Thanks,  LuAnn

Answer
I don't know what kind of adrenal supplements you were taking, but messing around with the hormone loops can cause problems, and elevate blood pressure.  The sweat and sick to stomach sounds like it could be  a low blood sugar reaction.  The headache... not sure.  I like chiropractors in general, but I am not sure I want one interpreting hormone levels... that isn't their training either... I would see an MD and explain all that to them.... good luck with it
