Spleen Pain Relief: Causes, Symptoms & When to See a Doctor

Question
Dear Doctor,
I live in Japan, and far from foreign/English-speaking doctors, so I really appreciate this opportunity to ask a question.  I'm a 31 year old female, and a few times over the last week when I have bend over while sitting, I have felt this sudden immense pain, as if something has moved or is stuck, on my left side, below my breast, in my rib cage/spleen area (I'm not sure exactly where it is). I have to arch back and press on it for a while for it to go back to normal. I don't know if this could have something to do with it, but I have scoliosis from birth, where my spine slightly curves in a c-shape to my left side. Until now I haven't had any problems with it. Also, since giving birth 15 months ago, from the fatigue I guess, I have been often slouching to the left side, perhaps making the spinal curve worse. Anyway, perhaps you might have some ideas on what it could be.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Chelsea

Answer
this is usually a musculo-skeletal problem....a  rib muscle spasms and "catches" on a rib and with scoliosis, you have some rib rotation anyways along with the spine curvature... but you don't have to worry about internal orgam problems with that kind of history...
