Coughing Up Tissue: What Could It Mean? - Medical Advice

I coughed one deep cough and it looked like some sort of tissue about the size of a penny.It is pink and looks like a piece of chicken lung. I have been coughing a lot and often feel "gaggy" - Impossible to gargle mouthwash; brushing teeth is difficult. Often cough until I end up dry heaving. I haven't felt "right" for awhile.

well, that does not point me directly to one of the "bad" diagnosis' but you need this checked.  Talk to your doctor.... I would start with a chest xray and if negative, go on to a cat scan of the chest.  If insurance/$$ is an issue, paying a discounted cash price at one of the imaging centers is possible.    

This could easily be some bronchitis, but get it checked now.
