QuestionMy name is Jeanne I am 65 years old. I cough and gag but I don't throw up. I feel like I want to throw up but I don't. Once in a while I have a little clear liquid come up and not much of that either. Can you point me in the right direction as to what this might be? Thank you, Jeanne.
AnswerDear Jeanne, As long as the mucuos orliquid that is coming up is clear, then you do not have an infection in your lungs....
However, if you have not had a chest x-ray done lately, you should have one done.... You should also have your thyroid examined to be sure it is not enlarged because this can cause you to cough and gag....
You MUST see your doctor....
thank you, karen
