QuestionI was diagnosed with bronchitis 9 days ago. I was given a 5 day antibiotic. I have, of course, finished the antibiotic but am still feeling ill - tired, "rattling" cough, short of breath. I'm a 36 year old female with no other health problems. Is this normal or should I be heading back to the doctor?
AnswerSo it sounds like you took the antibiotics and finished about 4 d ago.... the rattle may still be there but you should be producing less yellow/green phlegm and no fever at this point. If those markers are getting worse, then get rechecked, but typically people do have some residual problems that last for a week or two.......
