QuestionI have fibro and rheumatoid arthritis, have been on pain management for three years, take Hydrocodone and small morphine dose daily.
Two nights ago I fainted in the middle of the night, don't remember much just remember falling and banging into a table. No bruises the next morning.
Yesterday I was in my wheelchair because my knees have been swelling with the arthritis. I noticed my legs were really hurting, and it hurt to walk. I looked down and my legs and feet are horribly swollen, tight skin. My toes are usually bend under from the arthritis, my feet are so swollen they are straight.
No better this morning, keeping feet up doesn't seem to affect the swelling. I had a really bad strange pain in my left arm this morning. It's still there, just kind of dull now.
I read that swelling feet can be a side effect of morphine, but why now all of the sudden? Is it something I need to worry about? I don't really have the money to go get a bunch of tests run. I have been drinking lots of water, bowel movements normal, urinating normally.
What does it sound like
Answerthis is usually mineral deficiency disease and a sign of low magnesium so get magnesium level plus calcium level plus vit D level since likely to need all three but amount depends on the numbers
you can also take diuretics for lifetime as an alternative
