QuestionI have this question.
Recently I found that after a hard day's work, I can feel tired at home and simply don't want to do things with my son or my family in general. I am 34. I don't smoke or drink, so I'm not sure what can be the problem.
I want to go to my GP for check-up. However, I simply don't have a clear problem to tell him, apart from being tired after a day's work. I don't know what can be wrong with me. So I don't know what the GP can do for me or whether he may simply ask me to go home.
What is your advice?
Thank you.
Answerwell, being young and healthy doesn't protect you against some things..... I agree- go to your primary doctor....
Some considerations....
depression... even if you don't have anything to be depressed about, the medical disease of depression can give you these vegatative symptoms.
Sleep apnea--- not getting enough oxygen at night....
Hypothyroidism- very common- about 12% of adults, and it occurs slowly and insidiously, so that is a definite...check your TSH (thyroid tests)
Anemia- again, can creep up on someone, so you definitely need a CBC- Hb and Hct.
Diabetes- a simple blood test... BMP or Chem-8 to get your blood sugar.
Those would be my thoughts if you walked into my office.... not necessarily in that order though.
I hope this helps.....
