Childhood Bleeding: Understanding Unexpected Bleeding in Children

Question
I'm a 20 year old female... although the question is about something from when I was younger.  I'm trying to figure something out...

I'm 10 and camping with my family.  My older sister, cousin, and I go into the restroom.  And I end up pooping out blood.  I don't know the rules of periods, so I assume this is me starting mine.  When I think I'm done, I go to wipe myself, and I get blood all over my hands.  And it just keeps on coming.  It never happens again.

My memory of this is fairly accurate (just took a Memory and Cognition class last semester and I know not to say that it is accurate).  I know that it happened because my older sister and my cousin both recall being grossed out by all the blood... apparently I was freaking out and crying and said I needed help or something.  Anyway, the point is that the three of us recall the same event.

Medical history before that moment:  I used to be in and out of the doctor's office regularly because I had vaginal issues until I was about 8.  I don't remember what issues they were, exactly, just that I had to keep going.  I got the Chicken Pox at 5.  Other than that, I was a healthy kid.  I got sick once a year, usually end of February or the beginning of March. That was it.

Do you have any idea what it could have been?

Answer
10 is a little young for periods.  Most kids don't have vaginal issues as a young child either.  That would make me think of abuse, but, there is no direct evidence of anything.  You were saying you are trying to figure this out..... without medical records or any medical evaluation from that episode, I don't know if you are going to get any more of a medical explanation of what happened..... good luck with it....
