I was diangosed of being "Colonized" by Strep-C. My left Tonsil for the last 2 months has been "Slightly-enlarged" I have been through 3 different courses of anti-biotics:
1rst. Zithromax(It is in the Zithro-family)
2cnd. Penicillen
3rd. Another Antibiotic that was supposedly stronger than Zithromax it was taken 4 times a day for 5 days
4th. Penicillen again. for 10 days
My doctor then sent me an Infectious Disease specialist who told me that it was not important to Treat this virus if I was colonized since it was not important.
I asked why it was not important and it was explained to me that this virus is similar to the common cold and would not do anything to me. This made me slightly un-easy since I strive to stay healthy and do not like the idea of something bein in my body.
What is your opinion on Strep C and what if anything can I do to rid myself of it through Natural remedies. I am not sure if it is smart to continually use antibiotics in my body.
P.S. I am taking a multi-vitamin.
Answerwe all have bacteria in our body.... I would not treat someone who doesn't have an active symptom producing infection... I would not treat it at this point... Strep C acts similarly to regular strep at times but lots of people are colonized and there is no recommend to test and treat people who don't have the disease of strep..
