QuestionMy Father is 70 year old, He has his blood pressure,
his Blood pressure is changing very often even in one day.
we live in Kathmandu, the weather is in the morning 4C to 6C and the day time around 20C to 24C this days.
at 6 AM his Blood pressure is 160/95
at 7 AM his Blood Pressure is 155/90
at 8 AM His Blood Pressure is 145/90
after taking bath at 90:30 Am and breakfast it is 130/90
and till evening it is 130/90
Please suggest that we should take him to the doctor or it is normal
Please suggest us that My father is not taking any medicine for Blood pressure.

Those reading fall within what we now classify as pre-hypertension (formerly borderline hypertension) and stage one (state I) HTN. Some reading with DBP of 90 are acceptable but those above should be treated. SBP reading greater than 150 should be treated. It may be where you are taking the measurements and with what instrument, as we age our arteries harden and this can give a ''false'' elevated reading. Seek care with a doctor and there are some low level BP meds that may be prescribed or alternative herbs that can regulate BP.
