QuestionHi there,
I'm 25 years old, last April I went in to surgery for a laparoscopy and a video hysteroscopy, where they found a cyst and emptied it out. The reason I went into this surgery was cause I had my menstrual cycle straight for five months prior to that and could not find another reason why.
Now I have no period at all, my question is can this cyst come back? And, if so do I need to have surgery again? Does birthcontrol really help?
AnswerHi Brenda,
It is very normal for cysts to recurr. If your doctor just emptied the cyst, they can fill back up. Sometimes a doctor will drain them, remove them or even let them be because if it is not bad it will take care of itself.
On to the birth control part of your questons....if your periods are out of whack, birth control can regulate your menstrual cycle. This may be something you would like to talk to your doctor about.
Please feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Angie
