Trichomonas Vaginitis & Pregnancy: What You Need to Know

I am 35 and have recently found out that I am pregnant. 10 weeks along. I have been dating the soon to be father for about 7 months this time ( we dated for about a year and broke up for about 7 months).  I went to the er last night with pain in my stomach and yellow discharge.  Besides a urinary tract infection I found out that I have trichomonas vaginitis.  My boyfriend swears that since we have been back together he has not been unfaithful.  Claims that he must have gotten this while we were apart. My question is that is this possible?  I have not been with anyone else for over 2 years?  Could we have been back together for about 7 months and not have known? This is driving me crazy and has really made my once joyous pregnancy a secound thought as I can't stop thinking about him cheating on me... Please help me understand if this is possible?

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical professional so I urge you to check with your personal physician. In my opinion, it's possible that he got this while you were apart.
