Ovulation Timing: Understanding Your Cycle & Predicting Peak Fertility

Question
i got my periods last month on june 24th.i have a regular period(but it varies from 27 to 29 days).i read somewhere that ovulation occurs exactly 14 days  before the first day of the next period(according to this i must have ovulated around 10th of june).is this true?

Answer
Ovulation does not always occur 14 days before your next period.  This number is only the average.  In reality, women can ovulate anywhere from 10 to 18 days before the next period.  The only way to know for sure when you ovulate is to track your fertility using Natural Family Planning methods.
