Pregnancy Timeline & Paternity Confirmation: Understanding Conception Dates

Question
I just need to get some piece of mind. I'm 27 weeks pregnant today with a baby boy. His due date is the 6th of November.
I had been taking pregnancy tests about every week in February, and finally one came positive on the 28th, and I had a blood test on the 3rd of March that said I was 3 weeks pregnant.
My OBGYN says that conception probably occurred on the 14 of February. I have been with my fiance since January 10th.
I just want to know if there is anyway that I could be pregnant from a previous relationship that ended before on the 8th of January.
Thank you so much for reading.

Answer
No, you couldn't have been pregnant from that previous relationship. Sperm only stays viable in a woman's system for up to 5 days. In addition, you would be much further along had you conceived in early January. A pregnancy test taken even at the beginning of February would have shown a positive had you conceived at the beginning of January.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and please let me know if I can help you with anything else. Hopefully this will give you some piece of mind.

Best wishes,
Helen =)
