Postpartum Bleeding & Birth Control: What to Expect After Delivery

Hey.  I just had a baby a little over a month ago.. and I am on the pill right now.  Before when I was on the pill it regulated my period, but now I am still bleeding like a period and have been for the past 5 weeks since I gave birth.  I was wondering if you might now what that could be caused by, or may I need to switch brands of pills?  I was also wondering about the depo shot... some of my friends get that and it makes them not have a period, and some of them get there peiord for really long times.  Can u tell me more about the shot, and also about my pills and what I need to do.  Thanks A Lot!!

After a baby, your body is going to take several weeks to get back to normal.  I'm surprised a doctor would give you the pill so soon after birth.  I would never recommend the depo shot.  Bleeding after birth is very normal.  The pill and the depo shot are very abnormal.
