Amniotic Fluid Leakage: What to Do After a Suspected Rupture

Hi,

I just ended a two month sick leave from work where I spent 3/4 of the time on complete bed rest and medicated with antibiotics (flagil and amoxicillin) as a result of a suspected rupture to the membrane. When i got back home sometimes I wasn't sure if the moisture on my underwear was discharge or drainage. How can I decipher between the two?

The only way to determine if you still have a slow leak is to consult with your doctor.  He or she can use special test strips to determine if you are leaking amniotic fluid.  However, it is normal for vaginal discharge to increase during pregnancy, and this could also be causing the increased wetness you are feeling.
