Answer
Hopefully your cholestasis blood test comes back negative.  There is a perfectly benign, harmless condition that can also cause this itching called PUPPP, or Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy.  That's quite a mouthful, but basically it's just a rash and itching that comes on late in the third trimester.  It can be exceedingly uncomfortable, but in the absence of abnormal liver enzymes, it is completely harmless.  If you are not feeling any other symptoms of cholestasis (yellowing of the whites of your eyes, etc.), then this is probably the cause.

Good luck, and congratulations on your new baby!
