Hello im sophie and im 12 i had my first period when i was 10 and have been having them since but this month my period is late i am getting slight pains and keep expecting it to start but it hasnt. why not???

this happens alot in young girls,and is harmless.
its not uncommon to miss a few menstrual cycle at your age.

see there hormones in the body,and sometimes they get somewhat messed up,and you will be late for a cycle or not get one at all.

stress is another reason as well to have a late or missed period.
if you start having really bad cramping,i suggest you tell your mom,so she can get you to the doctors.
