QuestionI conceived late by a week, this was confirmed by my Doctor after an ultrasound test. I conceived on the 23rd day of my mensural cycle (my cycle is 30 days). May 27, 2008 was the first day of my periods and I have conceived on June 22nd as per the ultrasound test.
I would like to know if this would affect the development of my child. Also do I need to take any special care? I look forward to your expert advice.

Ovulating late in your cycle is no cause for concern.
All it means is that your last period is not a reliable way to estimate your due date and that ultrasound measurements in the early stages are a more reliable indicator of when the child was conceived.
No special precautions need to be taken nor should this have any effect on your child's development.
The only time this can be an issue is if your doctor doesn't realize you ovulated late and thinks you are farther along than you actually are. This can cause them to consider you overdue when in fact the baby is still developing and can cause conflicting data on the baby's expected growth rate and development.
However, none of this should apply in your case since your doctor is aware that you ovulated late and so the baby isn't as old as your last period would indicate.
