Post-C-Section Incision Bleeding: Causes, Concerns & When to Seek Help
QuestionI RECENTLY DID C-SECTION...AFTER THE STITCHES WERE REMOVED I NOTICED THAT THE INCISION AREA STARTED BLEEDING EXCESSIVELY...WHENEVER I GO TO THE EMERGENCY THEY JUS DRESSED IT & SAID THEY NEED TO DO THAT EVERY 2-3 DAYS UNTIL THE AREA HEALS...ITS BEEN 7DAYS AND THE AREA ACTUALLY SOAKS A MAXI PAD THATS HOW BAD ITS BLEEDING, THEY'RE USING MAXI PAD TO DRESS THE INCISION AREA.. IM REALLY WORRIED AS I FEEL THIS IS ABNORMAL.. I HOPE SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME AN ANS THAT CAN HELP...I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO...THANKS IN ADV!!!

If this is something you feel is excessive and the bleeding has not lessened, then you need to call your doctor or return to the ER to have your wound assessed.
It's possible that you've torn some stitches or have been doing too much activity which is prohibiting the incision from healing as it should.
Anytime you feel that something isn't right, have it checked out. If you aren't getting answers on why it doesn't seem to be healing, be persistent and keep asking questions until you are satisfied that your concerns have been fully addressed.
