Nipple Stimulation for Labor Induction: Does It Work?

I read that stimulating your nipples will help induce your labor. Well I been doing it for abut 7 hours and feel nothing. How long does it take for it to work?

There's a common misconception about this technique. Stimulation may cause contractions, but not necessarily labor. In addition, you have to do it for so long that I honestly don't think it's worth the trouble, especially since you aren't guaranteed it's going to work! This technique is really much more helpful when you're already in labor and it's stalled. But rare is the woman who has actually been able to go into real labor from using this method. The vast majority simply experience a lot of contractions and very sore hands, arms and nipples!
