QuestionHi.
I just got married in May of 06. I have been on Yasmin birth control since December of 05. I just went off the pill, because of the side effects they were having on me. I went off them on Friday the 13th of October. My period ended on the same day. My husband and I are going to use the rhythm method. We had sex Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. I did not think I would be ovulating until the 23rd, so I thought we would be safe. But them I read online that my period may get a little messed up, and to be extra careful until you get a period on your own. It is now the 20th of October, and I am having cramps in my stomach, like I am going to start my period. I just had my period last week, could I have it again, or could I be pregnant?
Thank you.
AnswerHi Amy,
Thanks for your question. I'm not a doctor so please check with your physician to ask these questions. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. I agree with you about the side effects of the pill. The natural family planning method is good and helps you know the natural cycle of your body. I'm glad that you are doing research to help you be more knowledgeable. I'm not sure what to say about the cramps. It's possible you could be pregnant, or it could be from ovulation, I think. You can email me anytime and tell me what is happening at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com
I hope this helps and if you have further questions, just email me. Oh, I forgot to mention the free pregnancy centers at http://www.optionline.org Check it out.
