Post-Pill Period & Pregnancy Concerns: What to Expect

Question
I was taking a generic birth control pill called OVCON for about 1 year. I just recently get off the pill about 2 months ago. I haven't gotten my period yet and I've been feeling these weird cramps for about 2 weeks now. Oh and I feel more tired for some reason, but I've been taking vitamins to help me out on the tiredness. So my question is: Is this normal when a girl gets off the pill or can I be pregnant? Can you please give me any information that can help me out.

thankyou

Answer
Sometimes, when you stop the birth control pill, you may not get your regular period for a few months. This is normal. However, remember that once you stopped the pill, you may have ovulated around two weeks after stopping the pill and could have conceived if you had unprotected sex around the time of ovulation. Therefore, any time that you miss a period, you must take a pregnancy test to be sure. If the test is negative, you are not pregnant.
