Missed Period on Loestrin 24 Fe: Causes & What to Do

I am on my last day of my second pack of loestrin 24 fe and I have yet to have a period.I start my 3rd pack tomorrow. In my 2nd week, of the second pack of pills, I lost one and had bleeding for 5 days. it felt just like a regular period. Was this my period? Why didn't I have one with the sugar pills? I took a dollar tree pregnancy test last night and it came out negative.

Some women on some low dose pills can miss periods on the pill.  Having the bleeding during the pack may also have made you more likely to miss your period.  As long as your pregnancy test is negative, I would take the next pack as usual.  If you don't get a period after the next pack, you could ask your doctor to change pills, and you'd probably get periods.  However, it's not harmful to miss periods on the pill, and some women prefer it.
