Depo Shot & Birth Control Pills: Potential Interactions & Effects

Hi, I'm currently on the Depo shot. My mom wants me to go on the pill too. Will this have a negative impact on my body?

You don't say why your mom wants you to go on the pill also.  You don't need the pill as well as Depo for birth control, since Depo is one of the most effective methods of birth control we have.  I've never seen a study of women on Depo taking the pill, so I don't know the answer to your question for sure.  I don't think there would be any negative impact on your body from taking the pill as well as the Depo shot.
