Post-Abortion Recovery: What to Expect After a Non-Surgical Abortion

Question
I had a non-surgical abortion last month. I have taken the main pill on 28th Feb and the subsequent pills on 2nd March. This was done because I was diagnosed with Blighted Ovum. LMP was 15 December.

After this I got normal bleeding for 10 days, I also had clotting on the first day. A few days after the bleeding had stopped; I revisited the Gynecologist and got a Sonography done to check whether the abortion was complete. This result showed that the abortion was complete and nothing was remaining inside the ovary.
Now, I am having my first period which started on 22nd March. I am having very heavy bleeding on this period as well, had slight clotting today. I normally have heavy bleeding during my periods but this is too heavy, far beyond normal.

Is this normal?  Do I need to visit the Gynec once more? Shall I have problems in future because of this?

Answer
This isn't really a normal period, since it's only been 22 days since you took the last abortion pills, and 12 days since you stopped bleeding.  I think this bleeding is still related to the pregnancy, possibly because there was still a little tissue left in the uterus (even though the ultrasound thought the uterus was complete).  Most likely this will take care of itself, but if the bleeding seems excessive, see the Gynecologist.  I don't think you'll have problems in the future, once this bleeding is over with.  Best wishes.
