Unexpected Heavy Bleeding After Skipping Birth Control Placebo - What Happened?

hello. i take a generic birth control and i tried to skip the placebo and go right to a new pack to skip a period. i eneded up getting a period anyway that is farely heavy and now wont stop. why did this happen? can i try to skip it again?

I'm not a medical doctor but I wouldn't have advised you to do this. I have had emails and reports from women trying to skip a period and most of the time it ends in disaster. So I wouldn't tell you to try this again. When you use hormones, it can alter your period and cause problems. Why do you want to skip?
