Missed Period & Light Bleeding: Understanding Possible Causes & Next Steps

I have missed 2 periods now and am due to start again in about 2 weeks.  I have taken 2 hpt that were both neg and a blood test that was also neg.  Blood test revealed that all hormone and thyroid levels are within normal range. Today I began to have clear vaginal discharge with traces of blood in it.  It is very light and only present when I wipe.  I have an appt with a different dr. in a few days, but I am completely freaking out.  I have never missed a period before or been irregular.  Any thoughts of what could be going on??

I am sorry your first doctor never explained what else a missed period could be. Sometimes stopping or starting medication can cause you to not have a period. A new exercise program or stress can also do this. It is best to talk to your doctor, so they can figure what is going on. Good luck to you!
