Emergency Contraception & Missed Pill: What To Do?

Question
I was supposed to start my period yesterday (march 30th) but it hasn't shown up yet, my partner and I did have sex and because I am on the pill we don't use condoms regularly. I slept through taking my pill because I am really sick and I was wondering if I should go and get Plan B just to be safe. Also I took my pill at around 1AM  today march 31st because I realized that I didn't take it. I never miss a pill and I was wondering if I should be worried or not. Thank you

Answer
Sometimes women on the pill don't get their period.  Most women on the pill have lighter periods, and sometimes they're so light they don't come at all.  Just to be sure, it would be best to do a pregnancy test (first morning urine), just to be sure you're not pregnant.  As long as the test is negative, you can just keep taking your pills normally.

Unless you've missed other pills, I don't think you need Plan B.  However, I'm confused by your question.  You say that you should have started your period yesterday, but you didn't take a pill yesterday.  That would mean that it's a placebo pill, in which case it doesn't really make any difference whether you take them or not.  The placebo pills are only there to make it easier to remember 21 active pills, 7 days off (or placebo pills).
