I am 18, I have no children and that is my problem I keep skipping my monthly. When I do get it is to heavy and I get really bad cramps and big pieces of the lining come out. my questions is what can I do to get regular and not have the chunks of stuff come out.

Answer -
If you are having irregular periods or if your periods are very heavy when they come (more than 14 days of bleeding each time you get a period), you may have to go on birth control pills to regulate your cycle. That would regulate you to a 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) and will shorten the bleeding to around 3-4 days. Make an appointment with a gynecologist and discuss your problem.

I am scared of the gyno or anyone who looks at me. Is there not anything else I can do?

Answer
If you want to alleviate your heavy bleeding and want to have a regular period, you will have to bite the bullet and make an appointment with a gynecologist. Try to find one that you will not be afraid of (Ask some of your girlfriends). There is no reason to be scared of the gynecologist. Tell the doctor that you are very nervous about an exam and extra care will be taken to make the exam comfortable for you. There is no way to help you without expert care.
