Post-Medical Abortion Bleeding: What to Expect & When to Worry

I had a medical abortion 3 weeks ago i was bleeding for a few days but then for about a week it was brown old blood...i had sex a week ago i started bleeding heavy n dark red blood and hasnt stopped for a week..is this normal? I havnt gone to the dr to the check up because i moved away. How long am i going to be bleeding? Should i be worried?

You are experiencing normal bleeding.  It can last up to 6 weeks but as long as 10 weeks.  Your normal period should come 6-8 weeks after you took the pills.  Only worry if you soak more than 1 pad or tampon in 1 hour or if clots are larger than a quarter.
