Understanding Abortion After Miscarriage: Future Fertility & Long-Term Effects

Question
hi Kim, im 19 and 2 months pregnant. i had a miscarriage when i was 3 months in the  month of November, and now im pregnant again. If i chose to get an abortion now, what be my chances of having a baby in the future? Will there be  any long term effect? Can having one abortion affect me down the line??

I also have another question. Unfortunately, My boyfriend smokes a great deal of marijuana. Can this affect his sperm (im not talking about sperm count) which may in turn affect the baby growing inside of  me. Now im not talking about him smoking around me, but im want to know if the marijuana affects the sperm directly?

Answer
Hi Jennie,

I am a pastor and will tell you that it is not God's will that you have an abortion. Don't do it. You will reap the harvest of sowing this seed of murder all of your life. One hundred percent of women who have abortions are affected in some way...physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. It is something that God will not sanction and therefore cannot protect you from the consequences. There are always consequences to our actions. If at one point you were truly in repentance, God would forgive you, but not necessarily release you from the consequences. The Bible says that we reap what we sow...and murder is a very deep sin.

If you can't keep the baby, Jennie, please have the baby and give it to a family who will be blessed to have that child. Give that baby a chance to live and grow up and become someone. You can't play games with this. You must become responsible and use birth control if you are going to have sex. Abortion is not birth control.

I will pray for you Jennie...please make the right decision...let that baby live...
