Post-Abortion Pregnancy: What to Expect After an Abortion

I had a abortion on sept 15. i went for my 3 week check up and it was negative. i did not get on birth control . i havent had a period and worried if i am pregnant? or can get pregnant before i have a period?

April, it is normal not to get your period when you expect it after an abortion.  It is fairly common not to get it for 6-8 weeks.  The only thing to be concerned about is pregnancy.  You should repeat a pregnancy test to be sure.  It sounds like a good time to get on some method of birth control.  You can try your regular doctor, a family doctor, planned parenthood, or the clinic where you got the abortion.
