AnswerHello, leila,
Abortion disrupts a woman's hormones, no matter how it is done. So all of this is not surprising. The cramps are your uterus trying to clamp down. It is common at only 4 weeks that they don't get everything, because the baby is small. Many abortionists won't do an abortion that early for that reason. If there is still material in your uterus, the uterus will cramp to try to get rid of it. Since this material can lead to infection, it has to be dealt with. I recommend you go to a different doctor and ask him to examine you and see if they got everything. Don't go back to whomever did the abortion. They cannot be trusted. Abortion is bad medicine, and these people who do them have poor medical judgment. They won't want to admit they harmed you.
Any woman who has an abortion should be worried, because abortion causes so very MANY problems. It can cause permanent damage to a woman's reproductive organs. It makes a woman more likely to get a deadly form of breast cancer. I recommend a woman take Vitamin D3 for the rest of her life. A good dose is 5000IU a day, but you will need to have your blood checked periodically to make sure you don't get too much. Do not get mammograms, because they can cause or spread breast cancer. If you can, get a regular thermogram instead. An abortion also makes it much more likely a woman will get an auto-immune disease such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. I am still doing research on how best to try to prevent this.
Abortion can also cause you to have complications in a future pregnancy. Scarring from a vacuum aspiration can block a Fallopian tube and make a woman sterile. If the tube is only partly blocked, it can lead to tubal pregnancy. This is a life-threatening condition that makes emergency surgery necessary. It can also cause complications at birth, of a future child, making a Caesarian section necessary. And it can cause significant birth defects in a future child. This is because the process of dilating the cervix causes many tiny tears. This makes a cervix less likely to be able to hold the weight of a full term baby. As a result, it is important that when you become pregnant again, you tell the doctor about your abortion. He may need to perform a cerclage to keep your cervix closed.
Abortion also causes significant emotional problems in some women. It can cause a woman to become more prone to commit suicide, to abuse alcohol, drugs, and herself, to be a victim of accident or homicide, to experience eating and sleep disturbances, and cause a woman to shut down her emotions so she won't experience the emotional pain. It can interfere with her relationship with God.
If you are not married, it is important that you stop having sex so you won't have to face this again. "Protection" doesn't work. You deserve for your partner to respect you and your body and not use you for his personal pleasure. He owes it to you to protect you from pregnancy and abortion.
Please make sure and watch yourself closely, and if you have any such problems, seek immediate help. I will be here any time you need to talk. Let me know how you do. Please take care and stay safe.
