Pregnancy After Abortion: Risks, Chances, and What to Expect

Hello Dr. I'm 30 years old and i've had about four abortions in the past and the last was in 2005. Now i've been trying to get pregnant in the last eight month.I'm i at any risk of getting pregnant again?

There is a risk that abortion can cause scarring inside the uterus but this is usually when complications have occurred during the abortion. Consequence is infertility. However these chances are small and many women have healthy pregnancies after abortions. I cannot be sure without an examination but I'm pretty sure you are at no risk. If you have not yet conceived in a few months, visit your gynecologist for an examination.
