Post-Abortion Bleeding & Recovery: What to Expect

Hello Doctor,

I had my abortion on 9th Jan and had very little periods for just about 2-3 days after abortion, but i started bleeding on 23 Jan again with very dark red (brown) discharge..though not too heavy but it's making me uneasy as I had little pain off and on on lower abdomen. On the other note I'm still partially feeding my 1yr old son, so not sure as he is on weening stage and does this also cause irregular periods.Please help.

Have you been for a post abortion checkup? This is very important as you can see how you're doing and if anything is abnormal. So please do that. Any kind of unusual bleeding or any kind of pain or symptom is important to find out about. Your health is of the utmost importance.
