Question
I have had a few abortions in the past and all recovered fine i recently had one on October 18th 2007 and it is not December 28 2007 and i still have not had my period i had light pink and brown spotting during the month of october and then heavier bleeding that lasted 3 or 4 days at the end of November could this be my period? i went for my abortion check up and she said everything was healed properally. i am diabetic and i was in the hospital on Nov 18 could this have caused my period to be late?

Answer
Yes, it sounds like you did have your period in November. Your menstrual cycle is bound to be very irregular and unpredictable for 4-5 months after an abortion. You can expect heavy periods, late periods, early periods, light periods, spotty periods, and even missed periods. Ovulation is also completely unpredictable for the next few months. Make sure you're using birth control when you have sex.

So bottomline: this is perfectly normal. It's great that the medical checkup said everything is healing normally, that gives you even less to worry about.
