The urine test resulted in negative for pregnancy can you please tell is this common or i should take care of any thing.
the delay is already 8 days and we consulted doctor and they did urine test for pregnancy which is negative and told to visit again after another 5 days.
AnswerHi, saritha,
Please be aware that abortion seriously disrupts a woman's delicately balanced hormones. Anything can happen. In your situation, you should follow the doctor's instructions and visit again in 5 days.
If you mean by "take care of any thing", asking whether or not you should take some nasty hormone just in case you are pregnant, I would recommend strongly against it. First, you don't even know if you "need" it or not. Second, all of those hormonal medications are dangerous. They can have long term consequences or even kill you. In some cases, some of these medications can kill a woman within hours. The risk of that or any other form of abortion is simply not worth it. You deserve better.
There are other things that can also upset the hormones necessary to produce menstruation. For one thing, tension and stress can delay a period. For another, malnutrition can also stop the periods. If you are a vegetarian and rather thin, that could be a reason. You need a certain amount of cholesterol in your diet to make the necessary hormones, and this comes from animal sources. A woman's body will make cholesterol for awhile, but this doesn't last indefinitely. There could also be other dietary deficiencies in the vegetarian diet that could aggravate this problem.
If you do discover you are pregnant, I urge you not to have a second abortion. There are so many long term consequences it's not funny. Abortion can stop you from ever having a normal pregnancy in the future. It can cause cerebral palsy in a future child. It can also cause a woman to become paralyzed or unable to communicate. It can cause a woman to develop breast cancer when she's in her 40's. It's just plain not worth it. If a woman gets into a cycle of repeat abortion, which is a possibility since you have had one already, there are only three ways to break out of the cycle. 1. become unable to get pregnant at all 2. carry the baby to term 3. stop having sex.
I don't know if your partner and you are married or not. If not, you should have a discussion with him about the risk you are taking. It's not reasonable for him to put you at risk like that. You can learn other ways to express affection, but please keep in mind that any penetration in any opening of your body can cause a nasty disease. I do hope this turns out OK for you, but I also hope you will try to make some changes so you won't have to deal with this again. Please don't take any more chances. Stay safe!
