NuvaRing and Abortion: Understanding Post-Abortion Contraception & Concerns

I had a medical abortion on August 18th, 2009.  I bled for about seven days.  The medical abortion was confirmed to be successful by my dr.  I did not bleed again until September 26,2009.  I started the nuvaring on October 4, 2009.  I had unprotected sex on Oct. 7th, and 8th.  The nuvaring wrapped itself around my fiance's penis.  When it did he just threw it out, and we did not put it back in.  I called my dr to ask for a refill, and when it was found my medical insurance would not pay for it...we also found I should not have been on it to begin with.  I have tachycardia, and heart palpitations.  My mother died very early of a massive heart attack at the age of 52 in her sleep...  It is now October 15,2009.  I am wondering about pregnancy.  I am a little bit more tired than usual, but it could just be from other factors.  So, I am not suppose to start again until Oct 23, 2009.  However, I went to the potty about 10a.m. today and when I went to wipe I am spotting.  Nothing heavy just some light pink spotting on the tp.  Could this be implantation bleeding, or is it from other factors?  I did not place the nuva ring in until around 10p.m. on Oct. 4,2009.  When my fiance threw it to the side it was about 1a.m. on Oct. 8th. So, really it had only been in about a little over 3 days total.  Can you tell me what you think the spotting is from?  I would really appreciate your help.

I cannot tell you any professional medical advice because I am not a doctor. But in my opinion, it's a good thing you went off the Nuva Ring. I have heard bad reports from it so this is a good thing for your health. I can't tell you about the spotting but if your period does not come on Friday, then seek a medical opinion.
