LMP: Dec.5, 2010
Menstrual Cycle: Ranges from 31-37 days
Last unprotected contact with bf: Jan.9, 2011
(I thought it would be safe enough because I was expecting my normal period at that time but it didn't come)
Jan.10. 2011, I thought it was my period coming because I had sudden extreme unreasonable moodswings and a little cramps.
My period never came, so I did the ff Home pregnancy tests using first morning urine and 2 different brands of HPTs:
Jan.17: neg
Jan.18: neg
Jan.19: neg
***I only learned then that ovulation usually occurs at around 14 days before your next period.. so when I recomputed using my regular cycle range, I estimated it to be at around the end of december (around dec.25-30) and around that time, I was under a great deal of stress (Is it possible that it delayed my ovulation?)
At Jan.21 afternoon I felt some cramps and I retested the next morning:
Jan.22: there was a very faint positive line
Jan.23: Faint positive line grew a bit more visible
Jan.24: Faint positive band is visible but not too dark.
At this point, My breasts were already sore, so i immediately contacted an online seller of mifepristone and misoprostol(Med abortion and all other kinds are illegal in our country)
Jan.24- 4:00pm: I took the mifepristone 200 mg tablet orally. It was a yellow long tablet with not very good taste and smell. accdg to the seller it was just a generic type...didn't see the bottle, unfortunately. I didn't have any other choice anyway, but it was expensive. I didn't feel any effect.
Jan. 25 - 10 pm: I inserted 4 cytotec tabs in my vagina. No cramps after 1 hr... Only slight dizzy feeling. so before I went to sleep at 11:00 pm, I took again 1 cytotec sublingual (It had no taste).
Jan.26 am: I felt bloated and felt weak and a bit nauseous... My cramps felt just like my ordinary period. I thought I felt like I was bleeding profusely, but when i checked to see, I was bleeding only pink blood, together with the remnants of the tabs. I got worried then, thinking the meds were fake.
Jan.26- 10:00 am: I took 3 cytotec tabs sublingually and lied down because I felt weak and dizzy. Still no cramps as others describe it. at 2 pm I checked, still little bleeding of pink blood. I just saw one little clot (red, with black blood and white mucus) just a size smaller than the tip of my smallest finger. And that's all.
3:00pm: I took the 2 cytotec tabs left sublingually, but still no strong cramps, no increase in bleeding, my napkin was only pink.
Jan.27 - no bleeding. Just scanty spots of blood.
Jan. 28 - I started bleeding a little red blood.
Jan. 29 - Bleeding red blood but a lot less than my ordinary period.
Jan. 30 - I went for a day hiking trip: I felt more bleeding... but not so much.
Jan. 31 - My bleeding is like my normal period.
QUESTIONS:
1. Do you think my meds are fake? especially mifepristone?
2. How many weeks pregnant was I when I took the meds? (I believe I could not base it accurately on my LMP because it would have been positive earlier. What do you think?) I had previous sex with my bf at december and january but i think, it was the last contact on jan9 that caused the pregnancy. do you agree?
3. Is the abortion successful? What shall I do now? my breasts are a bit still sore... I did not pass huge amount of clots and did not have any strong cramping as others have described.
Thank you doctor. I have no one reliable enough to consult in our country because the sellers are usually non-medical people smuggling the drugs. I have tried reading journals that's why i chose this method... Surgical is very risky here because it is illegal and practitioners are mostly fake doctors. thank you... ANSWER: Hi dear doubting,
I think you were not pregnant at all. But you learnt your lessons:
1. never unprotected sex if you do not want a baby.
2. Do not trust internet drug sellers.
3. Do not ever again use strong drugs without knowing HOW.
I think the Miso was OK. And the Mife was fake.
So if you had no unprotected sex during or after these events you are NOT pregnant.
Stop worrying and having unprotected sex !

QUESTION: Hi doctor, I just want to ask what I should do now... My bleeding stopped after 2 weeks and after 3 weeks from taking the medicines I tested using HPT again. It was still positive and had darker bands. I went to have a transvaginal ultrasound and the doctor said that Ia m pregnant, 5 weeks 1 day based on the size of my gestational sac, but there is no visible embryo or fetal pole. What should i do next? Should I order a new set of drugs or go for a D&C, I'm practically scared to have scarring etc... And it's really expensive. My previous online seller told me i should take the medications again (mifepristone + misoprostol set), but according to another seller I should use only misoprostol... What should I do? Thank you...

I think you passed the pregnancy at jan 26th. That was from the contact at jan 9th.
If there is only a sac now with no embryo in it, you can wait until it will be expelled. It is not viable. If this does not happen within a month time,
take the misoprostol, only in the cheek or sublingual for an hour. Use two tablets every two hours but not more than 10. So 5 times 2 tabs.
The sac will be expelled than. No mifepristone again.
In the meantime have no unprotected sex.
