Abortion and Fertility: Understanding the Impact & Timing

Hello There,
Does an early surgical/aspiration abortion have an effect on future fertility? I just read a response another expert in this category wrote to someone asking this question, and she said a woman who has had three abortions only has a 50% chance of ever having another baby. Also, is there a minimum time period before a surgical abortion can be performed?

We do not perform an abortion under 4 weeks.  That means there is no visible pregnancy.  If you have one under 4 weeks, it is necessary to perform blood tests.  

I have not seen that statistic. Abortion does not affect fertility.  In rare cases it can weaken the cervix but that is rare.
