Could U please tell me whether I will have any affects on my future pregnancy as i am very scared that my uterus or cervix would have been damaged. Can I plan a baby after 3-4 mnths and when should i start having sex with my husband again????
I really want to become a mother and i do regret my decision of terminating my first baby. I cant talk to my husband as i dont want to worry him.please help me
AnswerHello, blossom,
I'm really sorry about how things turned out for you. You may try to talk to your husband, because he needs to know. If you keep it from him, he could worry anyway, because you are likely to show signs that you are sorry about your abortion. But some counseling would be a very good idea. You can find an organization that can counsel you by going here:

Choose Australia from the country list. There are 41 of these there. Click on details for the contact information. These programs for women who have experienced abortion are usually run by women who have themselves experienced abortion, and who have healed emotionally and spiritually. They can also help you with the question of how to talk to your husband.
Yes, there is danger for a future pregnancy. There are three kinds of dangers. The first is tubal pregnancy. This happens if there is scar tissue over the opening to the Fallopian tube, and sperm can get in but the zygote can't get out. This will kill the baby and you will require emergency surgery to save your life. If you become pregnant and about 5-6 weeks into your pregnancy (LMP), you start to feel pain on one side, get to a doctor immediately. If the pain suddenly stops, get to the emergency room. The second danger is miscarriage or very premature birth. Very premature birth is a leading cause of cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and autism. Tell your obstetrician you have had a surgical abortion. Ask him how to tell if you are threatening to go into early labor. Also, ask him to fasten your cervix shut so you will be able to keep the baby. The third time is at birth. If there is scar tissue in the wrong place, a baby may not be able to implant in a good location, and could implant too close to the cervix. This is called placenta previa, and the placenta can rip loose during labor. This will lead to hemorrhage. The remedy is Caesarian section (not always necessary, but definitely sometimes). They can tell by ultrasound where the placenta is, as a general rule. And it could result in prolonged labor, and that also might make a Caesarian necessary. You should also watch closely for the possibility of breast cancer in the future. Mammograms aren't a good idea; there are better testing methods. There is more information on the internet, especially on drmercola.com .I hate to break all this to you, but it is better to be forewarned. I hope all goes well with you in the future. Please take care of yourself! I will pray that things will go well.
I forgot to answer your other questions. This is because you should discuss this with your doctor. Find someone else, not the person who provided the abortion. Having sex probably would be best postponed until you are no longer bleeding, because of the danger of infection. A doctor can assess your body and see if you have sustained any damage that would make having a baby unwise at 3-4 months. Good luck!
