Early Pregnancy Symptoms & Negative Tests: What Could It Mean?

Question
Have been having feeling of being pregnant like a week before i actually missed my period and went ahead to get a home test a day after i missed my period but it came back negative.i tried again 2 days after and it still came back negative but because i was still having this psychological feeling of being pregnant,i went ahead to  the hospital like four days after my missed period and carry out another urine test and then it came back positive this time.confused went ahead to do blood test again and was also positive but because am not ready to support a life now i booked appointment with a doctor the next day to stop the pregnancy and when i got to the doctor he checked my uterus and found out it was empty.also have not been having any pregnancy symptoms and because of the negative&positive tests have been getting, the Doctor decided to carry out his own test again which he claim is 100% and will reveal whatever the situation might be and how many weeks preg i am. when the result came out he confirmed it positive but confusingly said it was just 1week plus.i thot after u missed ur period u cant be less than two weeks pregnant.please what do you have to say about this because the doctor asked me to wait 10days more before he can perform d$c and am thinkin d earlier the better and also how would i be 1week plus preg when  i missed my june period and my last period ended 7th may......
Thank you for your quick respond.

Answer
Hello, mars,

What are you experiencing that causes you to think you are pregnant? Women can miss a period for several reasons. I'm not saying you're not pregnant. You might be. If you have missed a period, you are at least two weeks from the date of conception. You would be four weeks from your last menstrual period. If you tested a few days after your missed period, you might be as much as five weeks.

A D&C in only ten days might miss the baby, and then you'd have to have another. But in any case, the doctor apparently has very poor medical judgment. He seems to think that it is acceptable to do a D&C on a woman who is healthy, and with a healthy pregnancy. D&C is very dangerous. It can kill you, make you seriously disabled, prevent you from ever having children in the future, or harm your future children. Your future children could have cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental retardation, or autism, or could be blind or deaf because of an abortion you have now. You could have repeat miscarriages. It can also cause other serious damage, or cause you to develop breast cancer or auto-immune disease while you are still young. You deserve better than that.

I realize things may be very difficult for you in Turkey, especially if you are not married. I recommend you move to a different part of Turkey, or find a way to go to another country, until you have your baby, IF you are pregnant, which we still don't know for sure. It seems likely you will need to take a man with you if you move inside Turkey, and pretend you are married. If this won't work for you, I suggest you go to the American embassy, tell them your story, and ask for help visiting another country for awhile.

Let me know if you really are pregnant, and if you can do one of the things I have suggested.
