Delayed Period After Abortion: Causes & What to Do
QuestionHello I NEED HELP.
Ok. embarrased to say But this was my 4th abortion. I had it Oct. 17th 2011 and It is now Feb. 2012 and I have yet to get a period. One thing, i dk if this has to do with anything. but ight after my abotion they put in the nuva ring But I didnt know. I started taking birth control pills the sunday after. after 3 weeks I went to get my check up and i asked them about the missed period and he told me that there was nothing to shed. so I said Okay. I knew my periods would be irregular. But I think after the first month with I started my new pack of pills. I then found out that i still had the nuva ring in so It was in for about 4 weeks in stead of three. so basically What should I do? What could it be? because Im starting to get nervous.
the weeks where im supposed to be get my period i get camps and some time vaginal pain like muscle pain i guess. It kinda hurts when i try to stand up or use the bathroom. but there is never any bleeding! PLEASE HELP!
thanks for your time!
AnswerThis is normal. Take a pregnancy test. If it is negative then you are not pregnant. It can take a few months to have a period. You should continue the pill. You can just have an ultrasound to check the uterine lining. You should not worry. Some pills thin the lining so you do not get a period. The ring loses its efficacy after 4 weeks so no need to worry.
