Shoulder, Neck & Arm Pain: Seeking Medical Guidance for Mother

My mom who is 55 years old has been in severe pain for a month now it starts at her shoulder and neck but sends hard pain down her right arm. She doesnt have insurance so her doctor took no exrays and no mri. She hasnt fallen or anything. She now has knots under the skin. Her doctor just sent her home saying it was a pulled muscle. Please help her find releif.

First thing to try and identify is what she did to bring this on in the first place?  Second would be to have her be looked at by either a Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, or a clinic that includes them &/or a medical massage therapist.  At this point the most important challenge is to get a qualified medical diagnosis before proceeding further.
