Understanding and Preventing Lines Under Acrylic Nails

I have red/pink horizontal lines underneath my acrylic nail.  What causes this (drills?) and what can be done to avoid it?

If you didn't have these line before having acrylic on your nails then drills are the explanation. Drills should be used wisely, and when used unproperly they can harm the natural nails. You probaly experince some pain too, right? If so, my best advice is to change nail tech. This tech isn't doing her job right...
