QuestionI've always had short nails, and do not have time to spend on my nails. My new boyfriend, however, has a nail fettish, and has requested I grow them out. I tried to paint them a few times, but I just cannot maintain. I've been thinking about getting acrylic nails, but do not think I want this to become a permanent maintenance issue. I would like to have acrylic nails, and then, when my nails have grown and are strong, to revert to the natural nail. is this possible? Or, once I go acrylic, will I always need to be acrylic?
Also, can you recommend a subtle color for my skin? I am very pale with yellow undertones.
AnswerWell, have you consider press-ons? This solution is not long-term and you have to be careful what type of glue and the removal method that you use. But they can work well for certain ocasions.
But if you are looking for a more permanent solution then you can certanly opt for enhancements such as acrylic. You can remove the acrylic once you have reached your desired lenght, but since your nails aren't as strong as with the enhancement you may not be able to maintain the lenght. If you do decide on having enhancements be sure to chose a good salon were the health of your nails and hygiene are higly considered. Trying to save some money can lead to all sorts of problems so investigate a bit in that area.
Hope you achieve the nails you are looking for and that your boyfriend is pleased with them
P.S.- I'm sorry i took a bit longer than usual to reply, but actually i did reply earlier, something must of gone wrong, so i had to re-send my answer.
