Gel Nail Removal: Safe Removal & Nail Health

What is happening to my nails underneath?  Is it possible that they will be stronger and I may no longer need the gel? Should I have acrylic nails instead

If everything is OK (if your tech is a good tech and if you folowed aftercare instrutions) then your nail underneath should be just as before, no stonger, no weaker... To remove gel safely it is necessary for a tech to do it. Gel need to be filed off, and only a qualified tech will know how to file gel and not the natural nail and when to stop. Changing to acrylic will depend on your needs, gel tends to be more natural looking, shiny and flexible, acrylic is harder, yet it isn't as shiny and maintains the "fresh" look for less time.
