Understanding Brush-On Gel Nails: A Nail Technician's Perspective

Question
I have done gel nails for 21 years. Recently one of my customers had to have her nails while she was out of town.  They did a brush on gel powder.  She said they dipped the brush in a liquid and then powder and brush it on smooth.  No dabbing or sculpting like acrylic method and no filing afterward.  I have been checking the internet for a product that goes on like this but what I have found so far, you sprinkle the powder on and file after it hardens.  Her nails looked great and stayed on great.  The salon was called Davi Nails in Johnson City, NY and it was at a Walmart.  Any idea what brand this could be?  I would like to look into it as an option.

Answer
Hi,

What you have explained has nothing to do with gel!
It is however a acrylic or form of fiberglass.
FYI if it came from a salon in walmart it is a cheap
Unhealthy product!
Remember MMA stays on perfect it just isn't good for you at all
I would go to the salon and ask them to do one nail for you so you can be
Sure!

Good luck
